Gilles: This was a bit of an unstructured discussion, although many interesting ideas were brought, it is hard to summarize. One thing that we agreed on, and which may have been a productive starting point, is that democracy can play a role in many different ways in the fediverse. Indeed, the question is: about which entity do you aim to have democratic control; the software? the server? the network? Or even the “real” world in which the fediverse plays an integral role.
