Apps and Web services that are not dedicated to Fediverse function also need methods to connect to the fediverse.

• Post to a fediverse account.

• Accept incoming posts from a fediverse account.

I’m not clear on how far this should go.

My own use case:

• I’m building an app, and possibly a web service behind it, for horse owners and horse professionals. It’s a sort of note-taking and record-keeping system.

• I believe that people will want to be able to “post” some of their notes and photos and videos in a public way, and would like to offer fediverse accounts as an option for posting.

Also, if we could use ActivityPub to communicate with elected officials and government agencies, that would really help to market the SocialWeb.
