Notes
People need to know about it
Listed projects could refer to it
Collaborate with other projects to mention it
Example: people who want promote the fediverse in particular communities e.g. universities
Could have regular mentions
Could put a logo on product/service sites “We are listed on FediForum Connect”
Need a compelling story: “how are lives different now that we have these protocols”
people are busy, tired … how do we tell the story
what’s the joy
SB: from Europe
public institutions are interested, could be a seperated for/public_institutions/
54 Grad Software https://54gradsoftware.de/
Can we do industry-specific multi-tool templates? How can we find them?
Alexandra:
In France, there are nation-wide instances
In Germany, there are no nation-wide instances
Example: what would we tell a hypothetical hacker space to do?
e.g. Given you have your website at example.com, set up a Mastodon instance at example.social, but don’t create a Mobilizon instance, instead find one here … https://mobilizon.org/#join
In Spain: “Vamos juntas” Similar to other campaigns in other countries: https://vamonosjuntas.org/, one of their CTA’s is to follow a starter pack like: https://fedidevs.com/s/NDEy/
e.g. publish articles, do some handholding “here are some instances you could join”, starter kit
Run in bubbles eg social solidarity in Spain, expanded to open/free culture domain, spanish ecologist community
French initiative to find your Twitter/X friends in the Fediverse
Mutual referral program to/from FediForum Connect – products/services but also movements
